The MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) nominations were revealed few days ago. The nominees announcing party was held at The Sands in Sandton-South Africa hosted by MTV Base VJs Nomuzi Mabena and Sizwe Dhlomo.
For Tanzania or Tanzanians,it wasn’t just the party. It was a good start of the celebration. Of course it all depends on how you look at it. Diamond, who is without a doubt the current flag bearer of whatever music is coming out of Tanzania right now, got the well deserved nomination. He is up for Best Male and Best Collaboration from My Number One which was re-done with Nigeria’s Davido. Apparently Davido is one of the leaders among nominees alongside Mafikizolo who were recently in Tanzania for a concert.
